I rarely ever post journals on deviantART so when I do it’s usually because I feel I have something worthwhile to say. And so I thought there would be no better time than to mark my 10,000th pageview. So here I go…

On May 20th, my life ended (i.e. I got married. To a real, live woman no less.). And so I have moved out of my on-campus university apartment and got a place of my own (!). I mean a real home; the bills are mailed in my name and everything. I’ve been self-supporting for longer than I care to remember, but I’ve never really had a place that I could call home. It’s almost surreal. And I’ve also given up my ten year old habit of smoking. No shit. I mean seriously. I’ve gone from a pack or more a day to absolutely nothing. Yet again it seems surreal.

Within the past few months my life has changed far more than it has in the past few years. And to top it all off my wife (God that sounds strange.) is already talking about wanting to “give birth to my children.” *shudders* In response I picked out four baby names (Charles Fredrick, Jeremy Grady, Jacqueline Patricia, & Deborah Ann. The names are all made up of the given names of those people who are closest to us.) as a show of good faith and promptly reminded her that I enjoy having spontaneous sex, walking around naked, and swearing too much to have kids just yet. She conceded the point (Thank God for that).

Well I know everyone is wondering what this big long list is at the bottom of the page. In the simplest of terms in it is a compilation of the biggest and best that dA has to offer (in my opinion at least.) It’s kinda like the Grammy’s, except you get no shiny trophy. Now you shouldn’t take this as being the Gospel truth, although my opinion on anything is about as close as you can get. And if your name is on here you should pat yourself on the back and open up a cold one to celebrate. Because you have done something that few ever have, you have thoroughly impressed me. Now if your name isn’t on this list, it’s not the end of the world. So please don’t drink a bottle of bleach, slit your wrists, or anything stupid like that. You’re special too, OK? I may have overlooked you or something like that. And besides, if you got this in your messages it means I like you a hell of a lot too.
